Estate Planning

When we pass away it may be the end of our story. But it’s a new beginning for those we leave behind.

A carefully crafted Estate Plan ensures that the wealth that took a lifetime to build is distributed to your chosen beneficiaries: smoothly, tax effectively and in accordance with any unique wishes. We provide clients with expertise and confidence that their wishes will be carried out and in a way that maximises the value of the family’s assets. One way to maximize the value of your family’s assets is using your Superannuation fund to control distribution of your assets when you pass away.

We conduct a thorough analysis of your circumstances and wishes, explain your options and where relevant, provide guidance in leveraging your Superannuation to meet your requirements. Sometimes this includes the assignment of a Binding Nomination of Beneficiaries. This instrument ensures that those who you appoint to control and distribute your estate do so expeditiously and without contest. There’s also a Testamentary Trust which controls asset distribution after one passes away. It’s flexible and provides beneficial tax considerations.

There are 3 general categories of superannuation funds

Industry Funds are for those with less complex financial circumstances. These funds could be described as off-the-shelf, one-size-fits-many solutions. Ease of use and simplicity are hallmarks. For those with more complex circumstances and higher fund balances there are a variety of Retail and Wholesale Funds available.

Self Managed Super Funds (SMSF) are for those with a higher fund balance and usually require more discernment in selecting the right fund. Trusted advice is invaluable.

We provide unbiased guidance, driven by your specific circumstances. As many already know, the options, the potential fees, the rules and legalities can be daunting. We bring clarity to ensure that the plan or fund you select is the best and to proactively and routinely review your circumstances. Our reputation is built on our attention to detail, thorough analysis and intelligent planning. This, along with our desire to serve and pro-actively manage our clients’ financial affairs, has proven to be vital in building long-term relationships underpinned by trust.

Take the confusion out of Insurance

It would be fair to say a large number of us don’t want to know about insurance. I often hear "what should I have covered, how much coverage, with whom and at what cost”? We provide unbiased advice on Life Insurance, Income Protection, Trauma Insurance, Business Expenses and a range of other Business Insurances including Buy/Sell and Keyperson Cover.
